Dana Saez (1985) graduated in Architecture from Buenos Aires University (2012). She attended a postgraduate course in Architectural Research at the same University (2013-14). Since then she has been working on the interaction between design and materials research, exploring the physical and expressive potential of different materials using traditional but also digital techniques. She worked as an architect at different architectural offices in Argentina and Germany. She has been Architect-in-Residence at, among others, the European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC) (2015 and 2018) in the Netherlands. Her work has been exhibited in Argentina, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. She is currently a research associate and PhD candidate at the Chair for Structures and Structural Design (TRAKO) at the Faculty of Architecture of RWTH-Aachen, where she focuses her research on innovative building materials for a sustainable built environment (2018-present).
