Factory planning is characterized by a high degree of complexity due to many agents with different backgrounds involved in the process. To succeed in this task requires that these agents, like engineers and architects, work together in an inspiring environment. In the course "Interdisciplinary Factory Planning," architecture, mechanical and civil engineering students collaborate to design a factory for a real client: Beiersdorf AG. The planning process is organized in teams, which allow the students to develop creative skills to work in interdisciplinary environments.

Participation criteria and registration: BIM basic knowledge (recommended)

Start: Monday, the 18th of October 2021

Groups: 4-5 interdisciplinary groups

Meetings: Mondays, from 09:00 - 13:00 o'clock

Final submission: Monday, the 14th of February 2022, from 9:00 to 17:30 approx.

Participants: 8 architecture students, 8 production engineering students, 4 energy efficiency students, 4 construction management students
