Target Group and Requirements

The level 1 and 2 training is aimed at everyone who wishes to start practicing ice hockey or deepen preexisting skills. Prior ice hockey experience is not required for participation in the course. Participants should, however, possess basic ice skating skills.

Content and Objectives

The training content is oriented towards the existing skills and ability of the participants. For participants without any prior ice hockey experience, the training will first focus on teaching basic ice hockey techniques. Building on those, the tactical ability of the participants will be trained with the help of more complex exercises and creative game forms. In order to better account for the individual needs of the participants, the rink may be split into separate areas, if necessary, where the basic techniques and complex exercises can be trained separately. At the end of the training there will, of course, be plenty of time to play ice hockey together across the whole rink.

Particularities

We recommend that you arrive at the rink 20 to 30 minutes before training begins so that you have enough time to get changed and, if necessary, rent ice skates. During training times, the rink can be accessed by the back door which can be reached via the car park. We strongly recommend that you bring a regular pair of winter gloves, as there are not always enough ice hockey gloves available for all participants.
