The viewing of historical development processes in the field of load-bearing structures results in a more comprehensive understanding of todays’ support structures. The seminar covers the aspect of the gradual penetration of engineering thinking in the construction industry and the related effects on architectural forms. Deliverables of the participants: Papers on selected topics of design history and / or models of historical supporting structures.
